What is Part O?

Part O of the Building Regulations was introduced to address the risk of overheating in new residential buildings. It formally replaced reliance on TM59 as a standalone assessment method and became a regulatory requirement on 15 June 2022.

Part O compliance can be demonstrated using either the simplified method within the Approved Document or through detailed dynamic thermal modelling where required.

We provide overheating assessments in line with Part O guidance and, where appropriate, dynamic thermal modelling.
